Picnic in the park!

'Spring is coming!' I read on a lot of European blogs lately. No wonder. Everybody must be longing for sun and warmth after such a long winter.

But well, for us on the other side of the planet that actually means Autumn is coming. And I'm definitely a summer person. So that means I cherish every single day that it's still nice and sunny.

Today was a beautiful day so a friend and I decided to go for a picnic in the park during lunch. It was just delightful. I brought along these cute little bunnies I just finished. They look really sweet, don't they?

The pattern for the bunnies come from this book I bought the other day in a reject shop. What a bargain...yay! Making the bunnies was really easy, even for a beginner like me, but I do have a question for anybody who is into crochet. At some point I had to make the shape of the head smaller again. To do that I had to double crochet 2 stitches together. How do I do that? (Obviously there is a reason that one of them is wearing a hat...hehe)

Because the crochet terms are different in every country, I just repeat my question in Dutch 'hoe haak ik twee halve vasten samen?' and in German 'Wie hakel ich zwei feste masche zusammen?'

My friend suggested: 'Go through one stitch, get the thread, go through the second stitch, get the thread (then you have three loops on your hook). Then get the thread through the first two loops, and finally get the thread trough the last two loops???' That could be right....is it?
